In the Conservative–Liberal Democrat coalition agreement that adopted the 2010 general election, the new federal government announced which they planned to scrap the copyright plan, such as the National Identity Register (and also the subsequent technology of biometric passports plus the ContactPoint databases), as part in their measures "to reve
